My letter to my toddler son. Emmitt just turned two. TWO! My little baby is now officially a toddler. (I know most consider toddler years between 1-3, but I was still holding onto the baby years).

Don’t get me wrong I love the toddler years. To watch them grow and learn and become more independent. But I also loved those little cuddly baby years where they needed you all of the time.
I want to remember these precious years that are so beneficial but fly by so very fast.

Letter to my Toddler Son
Dear Little Man
Two whole years you have been in our lives. Two whole years of loving you.
You have brought so much happiness and joy into our lives. You have brought so much spontaneity and unexpectedness.
I never knew such a stubborn little guy could be so affectionate. I never knew such an adorable little guy could throw such a big fit.

I will miss those long nights of fighting sleep. I will miss those wrestling matches to change your diaper.
I pray you grow into a handsome young man that is kind and caring. I pray that I have done my best as a parent to give you the tools you need.
I am so proud of all the accomplishments you have made. I am so proud of the big helper you have become.
I love it when you give me a “just because” hug and you wrap your little arms around me and snuggle your head on my chest. I love it when you give me that side-eye glance when you think I am not looking.

You will always be my baby. You will always be my precious little coconut.
Never forget I will always be here for you. Never forget I will always be your mama!
I will always love you no matter what. I will always love you no matter what!
I hope you related with something in this letter. A letter to my toddler son.

This is so sweet. Time really does go by so fast. I remember when my son was 2. Now he’s 15 and towers over us all lol.

Oh no I am sure my boys will be taller than me one day. But until then I will soak in the shorter days.

Such a lovely wee letter to your son. When I have kids I have vowed to myself that I’ll write them little letters and keep them until their 18th birthday. Then they can read them all and know how proud I am.

Thank you. That’s a wonderful idea. I have a birthday book that has a spot to write a sweet letter to them each year.

This is sweet. I felt the same sentiments (and some longing) when my eldest son turned two. He is still so much a baby though because he has GDD.

writing letters to the kids is a great gift to share with them throughout their years. I’m sure those are the most sentimental things they’ll receive in their lifetime. Fun idea!

I sure hope so. Plus it’s a great way for me to remember these sweet years.
