Are you looking for Fall Outdoor Activities? Well look no further!
Fall is my absolute favorite season. I love the changing colors and the crisp cool air. Plus, my youngest was born in October and will be turning 2 this month, but that is a post for another day.

If you read my post on 20 Outdoor Activities for Toddlers, you know my boys love the outdoors and would spend the whole day outside if I would let them. So, here is a list of Fall Outdoor Activities.
Fall Outdoor Activities
1. Go Pick Pumpkins
Who doesn’t love visiting a Pumpkin Patch? Throw on a flannel and go pick a pumpkin. Most Pumpkin Patches have a hayride and other activities to enjoy while you are there. Plus, you are supporting a local farm or business who has put in a good deal of time and effort into growing those pumpkins.

After a wonderful outdoor outing, you can use those pumpkins that you picked as fall decor for your front porch.
2. Collect Colorful Leaves
Fall is the season that embraces change. The change in the temperature and the changing of leaves. A great fall activity is collecting leaves of different colors.

Instead of just raking them up and throwing them away. Take some time to appreciate the beauty of nature and all the gorgeous fall colors.
3. Go for a Hike
Hiking is an activity that can be done all year round. But fall brings a whole new perspective to the usual hiking trail you are used to. The gorgeous red and orange colors of the changing leaves can make your mundane hiking trail into a pretty work of art.
4. Have A bonfire
A good evening fire is a great way to relax and enjoy the crisp temperatures of fall. Cuddle up under a blanket and brew a cup of tea, and enjoy family time together.

Also, if you add #8 of this list to the bonfire it makes for a delicious treat.
5. Plant Mums
Mums are the flowers of fall. They come in multiple colors and can add to your outdoor fall decor. Whether you buy them to replant or keep them in the planter they come in, they add even more color for fall.

6. Look for Acorns, Pinecones or Walnuts
This activity is similar to collecting leaves. Again with the trees changing for cooler weather, they drop their acorns, pinecones, and walnuts. Go for a walk and collect them as you go. They also make great additions to your fall decor.
7. Go to a Corn Maze
A corn maze is fun (and scary) at the same time. The possibility of finding your way or getting lost in the maze is a great experience for the family. Working together to find the way out.

8. Make S’mores
Of course you can make s’mores inside but it is not near as fun as roasting marshmallows over a fire. Plus you can’t beat eating the s’more outside in the crisp fall air with sticky fingers.

9. Go to an Apple Orchard
If you are lucky enough to live near an apple orchard, this is a great fall activity for the family. Pick some apples, make some applesauce or cider. Even if you aren’t a fan of apples it is still a fun activity to spend time outdoors.
10. Outdoor Movie
Outdoor movies are usually a summer activity. But what most people do not know is that most drive ins don’t stop showing movies until November. Which gives you most of the fall season to continue enjoying movies.
There are also neat little projectors that you can enjoy an outdoor movie at home. You just need a sheet and some goodies to eat.
Final Thoughts
Fall is such a gorgeous season and spending it outdoors as a family is a great way to experience the colors and make some great memories.
